Just six months after the publication of the first bimagic square of the 8th order, Georges Pfeffermann found the first bimagic order square of order 9. He published this square on July 15, 1891 again as a puzzle in the magazine Les Tablettes du Chercheur. The complete solution was given again 14 days later.
